Task 7.1: General administration and management of the project
The University of Ruhuna, as the leading institution in the BRITAE project, attended a grant holder meeting in Brussels, Belgium.
During the kick-off meeting, the team established working procedures, reporting structures, and dispute resolution methods in accordance with EU guidelines. They provided management, administration, and coordination functions, prepared progress reports, and managed work package activities and deliverables. Meetings were held with the Centre for International Affairs, Ruhuna University staff, Erasmus+ 2019 project holders in Sri Lanka, and the chairman of the University Grants Commission. Approvals were obtained from the External Resources Department, Ministry of Higher Education, and the Central Bank.
Project updates were presented to the Vice Chancellor in every six months. When the Ambassador of the European Union visited the UoR, the project progress was presented.
Task 7.2 : Setting up steering committee/ kick-off meetings
The kick-off meeting of the BRITAE project, which marked its official launch, was attended by delegates from all nine partner universities at Hotel Turyaa in Kalutara, Sri Lanka, from February 25th to 28th, 2020. Subsequently, the project organized and conducted ten steering committee meetings to oversee its progress and management:
Task 7.3: Compile interim and closure reports
Interim report has been compiled and submitted on 14th October 2021.
Closure report has been complied and submitted on 14th January 2024 with all relevant documents.
