4.1 Orientation program for administrative staff focused on student service platform and student enrolment.
An orientation program targeting administrative staff, with a specific focus on the student service platform and student enrollment, has been carried out for academic staff, administrative staff, technical staff, and students across all partner country universities. The primary objective of this program was to impart comprehensive information about the developed M.Sc. curriculum and the student service platform. The program comprised two sessions, namely an awareness program on BRITAE and a detailed presentation on the online student service platform.
4.2 Develop, test and implement online student service platform.
After identifying required information and specifications, the prototype design of the online students’ platform has been developed. Several discussions were held with UOR and the technical team regarding the platform.
Task 4.3: Development of marketing and student requirement strategies and reviewing of the developed program.
Marketing strategies have been developed mainly for the M.Sc. program using posters, online-flyers, attractive short videos and online webinars through E-mails, Social medias and official E-mails.
Task 4.4: Enrolment of students through student service platform.
Student enrolment process was happened through the developed student service platform. Students can virtually apply to the curriculum through the student service platform.
Task 4.5 Selection of students for BRITAE MSc program
20 students were selected at the interview held on 24th October 2023 for applicants called on 24th September 2023 for the first batch of the MSc. Program.
Task 4.6: Commencement of BRITAE MSc program
As the major partner of the BRITAE project, University of Ruhuna (UoR), together with other partner universities of BRITAE project have been organized the inauguration and student enrolment of BRITAE M.Sc. program with the participation of more than 50 persons via physically and online from all the partner universities of BRITAE project, stakeholders and the students who were selected for BRITAE M.Sc. program. The inauguration and student enrolment was held on 10th November 2023 at the auditorium of Gap HQ building, Vidya Mawatha, Colombo 07 as a hybrid event.
