WP 1 ACTIVITIES, OUTCOMES AND PROGRESS

In order to assess the current state of education/knowledge on resilient related to Agroecosystem in Sri Lanka and European universities, educational requirements and stakeholders’ needs, capacities of the project partners to provide necessary infrastructure, context and resource base for education and research, survey was organized under task 1.1 of WP 01, and results were summarized, knowledge gaps were identified and initial assumptions for BRITAE framework were made.

In order to fulfill task 1.2 of WP 01, five institutional reports were prepared by each partner country university by identifying their strengths, weaknesses and capacities for joint curriculum development on building of agroecosystem resilience.

The framework was developed under task 1.3 of WP 01, by conducting a systematic literature review. Further the literature review findings were supported by the survey outcomes. The outcome was further validated by conducting several consultancy meetings with consultancy with the consortium partners at several rounds. Accordingly, a comprehensive BRITAE framework report was generated. In addition, the overall framework was presented graphically in a comprehensive way with three-tiered model. 155 concepts are presented in the tiered framework.

To ensure the quality of e- learning adaptive modules, special specifications and certification rules were developed and adopted in each participating PC university. A comprehensive report was also prepared on “Development of Specifications and Certification Rules for the Quality Assurance of Joint Master Program Modules by including inputs from OpenupEd Quality Process, Manual for Quality Assessment for E-learning (2016), Considerations for Higher Education Institutions (ENQA)-Occasional Paper 26 (2018) and Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework (SLQF).
